President
Eddy Damavandi grew up going to Eretz Synagogue & Cultural Center. His Grandparents Mansour and Mahin are one of the founders and major supporters of Eretz Synagogue. They helped spark his passion for Jewish engagement, growth, and community. In high school he served as the President of the Jewish club, bringing young Jews together in a safe and inclusive environment. He began his career in film while studying at The University of California at Santa Barbara. He majored in Film and Media Studies where his passion and understanding for film and technology really grew, while still maintaining a strong Jewish identity. He is the CEO of TOP 360 Virtual Tour & Photography, a real estate photography company based in Los Angeles, CA and currently serving as the President of YAD, The Young Adult Division, at Eretz. His vision is to bring together the Young Adult Jewish Community to expand & grow into a flourishing network.
Rebecca Moghadam is an enthusiastic team player with strong leadership skills for the Jewish community. Rebecca received her B.A in Psychology at CSUN back in 2015 and makes use of her degree on a regular bases. With her charismatic personality, she expands her knowledge of communication towards cultivating the youth of her generation. Rebecca is currently working towards a promising future as an Occupational Therapist were she hopes to make a difference for many. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, cooking and spending time with her loved ones.

Samira Sayari Sarshad, MPH
Board Member
Samira Sayari Sarshad, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, has dedicated her career to the nonprofit hospital sector. With a Master’s in Public Health, focusing on community health education and hospital administration has grown a strong passion and a sense of devotion to improving the health of the community through promoting healthy lifestyle choices and her involvement in research. During her spare time, she enjoys baking, spending time with family and friends, and participating in community outreach programs.
Sepher Sarshad, Los Angeles Native studied engineering and proceeded his career as a Healthcare Engineer. For the past ten years he has worked to maintain medical device equipment within various hospitals and laboratories in Southern California. He has a desire to make a positive impact in the Jewish community by bringing young adults closer together. In his free time he enjoys sports, traveling, and has a strong passion for Israel.

Jason Damavandi
Board Member
Jason grew up going to Eretz Synogogue. He is deeply rooted with Eretz as his grandparents were part of the founding members. This is part of the reason why he joined the board and wants to bring the community together. Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine. Jason enjoys playing tennis and traveling in his free time.
Sara Gelareh Golriz grew up attending Eretz Cultural Center. Ms. Golriz received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2012 where she was an editor for the Loyola Law Journal. She spent 2 years working for Marcus and Millichap where she gained experience in commercial real estate law. Ms. Golriz went on to serve as in-house counsel for a venture capital firm. She later transitioned to practicing Personal Injury and Family law and currently and is a Senior Associate at a boutique law firm. She is an avid reader, animal lover, and enjoys/ traveling to places rich in History.

Daniel Babajoni
Board Member
Daniel Babajoni is currently President of Ledor Vador, an organization affiliated with Nessah Educational and Cultural Center in Beverly Hills. Ledor Vador aims to reconnect the young leaders of the Iranian-American Jewish community through activism, Zionism, and philanthropy. Daniel founded his own insurance company, BIA Insurance Agency, Inc.
Samuel Rabizadeh received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy on 2015 and became a Board Certified Hand Therapist in 2021. He currently works in his field and rehabilitates people with all types of injuries. He has a strong passion for spirituality and genuinely helping others. His hobbies include long walks on the beach, meditation, basketball, chess, reading, video games, weightlifting, hiking, and cooking. He is a good team player and leader. He is a Kohen and he takes pride in his Jewish background.

Ariella Cherin
Board Member
Ariella Cherin is currently a Sociology student at Cal State University Northridge, in pursuit for a Bachelors of Art degree. Ariella currently manages an insurance office where she utilizes and cooperates with her peers to improve results and experiences. In her personal time, Ariella also coordinates charitable events in order to collect and donate items for those less fortunate.
Hadar Shimshi has been in the automotive industry since the age of 16. Whether body work or selling cars, Hadar has done it. He currently manages a body shop and a service station which gives him the opportunity to provide the greatest service in customer relations. He also provide a lot of his personal time to giving back to the community, whether counseling kids on recreational trips or setting up massive events that cater to all age groups. His hobbies are going to the gym and messing around with his personal cars.
